GRACIOUS LIVING LYRICS

Charming

(Adam Mackintosh)

Mysteries unfold honey eats mosquitoes golden rows

Patience, my sweet sap will have tomorrow's amber glow

Oh, supernatural trap in the end I will own you

'till then I owe you bittersweet delights...

I won't be lonely in your arms, oh no

I'll be

Charming you charming you charm

Charming you into my heart

You should feel lucky to have me babe

Lucky to have me babe

Hypnotic hold glory falls in a final crushing blow

Enchanted, I'm sure, your desire, my allure let love flow

Oh, supernatural trap in the end I will own you

'till then I owe you bittersweet delights...

I won't be lonely in your arms, oh no

I'll be

Charming you charming you charm

Charming you into my heart

You should feel lucky to have me babe

Lucky to have me babe

All for nothing.

Black Star Sapphire

(Adam Mackintosh)

Junker. Yeah

Junker. Uh-huh.

Junker.

Junker. Uh-huh.

On a thimble in a corner looking through gutters flowing water

a precious stone that I tossed when I lost it's match tonight.

As you were crying on my shoulder bearing your spirit to a stranger

The words are coming across but you're only half-alive.

Drunk on Bourbon looking for a black star sapphire

Was I tired of waiting for you.

A jewel set into the silver. A satin fountain blowing winter

Nobody told you it was over with the king of the killing kind

Oh, you're like an anchor in a cloud, dear.

I'm singing louder but you can't hear

The words are coming across but you're only half-alive

Drunk on Bourbon looking for a black star sapphire

Was I tired of waiting for you.

Who knew if I wanted to see you

All I had to do was to close my eyes

All I ever wanted was to need you

Mislead you into a graceful demise

Junker

On a thimble in a corner looking through gutters flowing water

a precious stone that I tossed when I lost it's match tonight.

As you were crying on my shoulder bearing your spirit to a stranger

The words are coming across but you're only half-alive.

Only half-alive.

Drunk on Bourbon looking for a black star sapphire

Was I tired of waiting for you.

Drunk on Bourbon looking for a black star sapphire

Was I tired of waiting for you.

It's A Crime

(Adam Mackintosh)

All over

tinkering tailor spies

cover the coast twilight

cheating you twice

sunshine the world gets

in the way

of the phantom I portray

for you tonight

before you know what you got,

you're caught in two lies

Discovered

spreading my wings

too thin

the searchlights are

closing in

while the bulletins fly

sunshine the world

gets in the way

of the phantom I portray

for you tonight

before you know what you got

you're caught in two lies

The Beautiful pay the price

from Broadway to Paradise

My Life, My Time

It's a Crime

My Heart, My Mind

It's a Crime

My Love, My Light

It's a Crime

Testify for Me

and you can grace my history

Recovered

after the hit goes down

we meet at a secret place

uptown dropping the dime

Sunshine

the world gets in the way

of the phantom I portray

for you tonight

Before you know what you got

you're caught in two lies

The Beautiful pay the price

from Broadway to Paradise

My Life, My Time

It's a Crime

My Heart, My Mind

It's a Crime

My Love, My Light

It's a Crime

Testify for Me and you can grace my history.

All over

tinkering tailor spies

cover the coast

twilight

cheating you twice

Sunhine the world gets in the way

of the phantom I portray for you tonight

Before you know what you got

you're caught in two lies.

Gibson Girl

(Adam Mackintosh)

I'll wear every piece of jewelry

that you give to me

embracing my

neck of ebony

and draw back the curtain

to expose everything that you are

don't look so withdrawn

red lines and paper is all

that you are.

The sky lashes open

you come pouring out

it's just like you told me

let the letters spill

out of your mouth

I, got a Gibson Girl.

Away in the platinum parlor

with swans in your hair

glue of the eye

is all you're on

mechanical dolls

go marching in

as I bottle you up

don't look back so far

find yourself wandering

into the stars

The sky lashes open

you come pouring out

it's just like you told me

let the letters spill

out of your mouth

I, got a Gibson Girl

Oh, orange incense

make me wake

remove the clouds

from windowpanes

I know the day that reigns

will one day come again

Ooh I'm tangled in your spool

when my heart is full

be the string I pull

The sky lashes open

you come pouring out

it's just like you told me

let the letters spill

out of your mouth

I, got a Gibson Girl.

I never thought I would like teaching. Not even a little bit. So it just goes to show you that you have to try something before you decide not to like it... I will have been teaching for over 12 years as we move into 2021 and I have to say I love it. I feel like I have really found a unique way to express music fundamentals to someone who has zero knowledge of anything musically theoretical in a way that makes them say, "now I understand what I've been listening to my entire life." In fact, I have heard that from students who have been performing for over a decade! I keep it fun and interesting by adding in elements of Songwriting and music history as I teach basic fundamentals. The rewards are endless, mutual and there is really no greater gift than to be compensated to play and impart knowledge of the guitar with people of all walks of life who love music. Below are some quotes from my past students.

-Adam M

"The experience that I've had with Adam learning how to play slide guitar has been unbelievable! He has been able to take this 45-year-old rookie and give me the confidence I need to play live with just about anybody."

"Not only is Adam able to get me to the place I want to be, but he is also able to get me to leave my comfort zones with confidence."

"I love this experience learning with Adam because not only am I learning how to play guitar, we are writing original music."

- Fred Young

"Adam's teaching style is exuberant and professional, combining his technical expertise with his passion for playing guitar. He has the ability to teach to a student's needs and is very encouraging to his students as he imparts the language of music. I think he rocks, and someday hopefully I will too.... If I practice!!"

-Jeanne Kuhns

"Adam is a really great teacher, endlessly patient as I hack my way through new things as an absolute beginner. Whether you want basic chord structures or detailed chord theory, he'll gauge where you're at and teach to you, and he builds confidence so that you can take what you learn and begin writing and performing your own works, something I'm already starting to do!"

-Anonymous

Adam has the ability to discern an individual's "style of learning", and work with them on whatever level they are at. I think that's part of what makes Adam such a fantastic teacher. It is a beautiful thing that he is doing by sharing his God-given talent and helping others unlock their creative spirit. I'm forever grateful for what Adam has helped me to see within myself.
